People have been asking for info about this band for a while now and with a Sacred Bones Records release of ‘archival’ recordings in the pipeline, here’s some facts & figures :
The Cultural Decay (May 1980- August 1982)
based in Leuven Belgium
were :
Alex : Vocals / Guitar
Joseph : Guitar / occasional Vocals
Jean : Bass 
Jean-Pierre : Drums 
2 singles released on own Sexy Robot label :
-‘Brave New World’ c/w ‘End Of The Corridor’ (SR001 early 1981)
-‘Wars On 45’ 12” single with - ‘Business Business’ / ‘Fragile Object’ (one side)
- ‘Song Of Joy’ (other side) (SR003 early 1982)
1000 copies of both records pressed & self-distributed (surviving copies have been fetching relatively high prices on Ebay recently).
‘Brave New World’ also crops up on a couple of compilations such as .
Both singles feature on this .
‘Business Business’ / ‘Fragile Object’ also appears on this soundtrack : Gerda 85 .
-Unreleased Vol. 1- Mysterious cassette compilation, as far as anyone knows this is still "unreleased". If anyone has any info on this please get in touch.
A lot of rehearsal- as well as some live-stuff survives and some of this will feature on the upcoming Sacred Bones Records release.
