Melodic Alt-Rock with balls. Music that will leave a ringing in your ear and a song in your head. The power and emotion of early 90's guitar-driven rock with a resurgence of 70's rock n' roll attitude.
Rock-alternatif melodique avec des couilles. Le pouvoir et l'émotion des guitares des années 90 mêlé À l'attitude rock des années 70.
If you take the drive and emotion of bands like the Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana, add the heart and rock and roll imagery of the Ramones or the Rolling Stones, and throw Keith Moon on the drums, you've mixed yourself a rock and roll cocktail called the DGB. They have a melodic alternative rock sound that people love to sing along to, but a drive with the balls to cut right through you.
The DGB formed in 2001 as The Daniel Greer Band (which was later shortened to just the DGB). At the time it was just the acoustic duet of the Greer brothers, performing their off the wall drone rock for coffee houses and unsuspecting bar crowds. Three drummers, four bassists, and five albums later, the band has found their sound, mixing the familiarity of early 90's rock music, with their unique modern twists and classic rock overtones. The band has put together an exciting live show and put their all into performances whether playing for three or three thousand people (both are actual occurrences). Fender Strats and Gibson Les Pauls cranked through Marshall amplification gives the DGB that classic rock and roll tone that mixes beautifully with their original yet rocking live performance.
In 2006, the E.P. "You're All Ingrates" was released with the goal of being a disc you can listen to on repeat. Clocking in at just under 20 minutes, the band felt their disc would have listeners playing it over and over again, and of course leave them dying for more. The disc went over great, and fans loved the fresh, new sound. Wasting no time, the band started work on the new E.P., “The Evolution of a Perfect Crime”, which is available for free on MySpace right now. The band has moved forward from their avant-garde approach to rock, to create a catchy, melodic music that still stands out as something different.
The DGB is a band that loves Rock and Roll, from it's beginnings in the bluesy styling of classic rock legends like Hendrix, Zeppelin, and the Doors, to the progressive art of bands like ELP and King Crimson, to the early alternative of bands like MC5 and the Talking Heads, to the modern rock of Sonic Youth, Pearl Jam, and anything that Dave Grohl has touched. The DGB simply wants to be a part of the greatness that is Rock and Roll.

That was a great set at Rancho Relaxo, rocking harder and louder, blazing riffs, brazen hearts and that classic rock spirit. Dangerous. Down and dirty. That's rock and roll.
