RAPID-EYE ASSEMBALGE [ 2008-2009 ] ...... Vividly experimental, emotive and more urgent than it’s predecessor’s RAPID-EYE-VOL-3 takes the unmistakable erratic sound of THE DIELECTRIC into another age of industrial, ambient, drum and bass electronica with this final part of the acclaimed trilogy series ‘ RAPID-EYE ASSEMBLAGE . First launched at the start of 2008 by founder member and main composer J.HOOKENS. Recorded, and produced in 2009 between ( March – August ) in Berlin, Lubeck , Amsterdam and the United Kingdom with various guest artists contributing to THE DIELECTRIC’s ever-expanding band line-up of new and established collaborators on the international post-punk, electronic, industrial music art scene.Featuring Co-written works and performances from th the wonderful guest vocals from the Swedish lead vocalist ANN-MARI THIM from the established band ( ARCANA ) who contributes her vocals,lyrics and backing voice to the tracks 'Directiv' and 'Flight '. Also a new vocal-contribuition from London / Berlin based singer KAREN KING on 'Lucid' and Manchester based producer / engineer KEIR STEWART best known for his work as the bass player with the Manchester band THE DURUTTI COLUMN who helped mix down and master the EP.Released on the 21st of September RAPID-EYE VOL-3 delivers everything we have been led to expect from this moody,shadowy,cinematic and prolific music-art assemblage and a lot more with what could be described as THE DIELECTRIC's best material to date. .... Marking a transition from the cinematic and nightmarish, off-beat noisescapes of the first eponymous EP . 'FLICKER OF AN EYE ' voyages further into a darker , more atmospheric, industrial, downtempo-experimental direction for this second installment from THE DIELECTRIC's trilogy series RAPID-EYE ASSEMBLAGE. Featuring the groups mellifluously 'moody 'n' edgy ' freeform signature with abstract, musical-noise settings. 'FLICKER OF AN EYE ' represents a more crossover, electronic soundclash of instrumentation and vocals. Full of exotic shimmering textures, melodies and dark pulsating experimental-grooves that fizz with tension and intrigue. Combining the bittersweet splendour of melancholic melody with a dangerous twist of avant-garde intensity. Predominantly written on location in Berlin - Manchester - The Netherlands and London between September 2007 and August 2008 by founder member [ J.HOOOKENS ] as a side-line project to his his main electronic -well estblished London based industrial-punk-outfit JERICO ONE>For this recording THE DIELECTRIC are accompanied by a new line-up of Co-writers / collabortors. Including Netherland improv bass player / percussionist MARTIN K.LEWIS As well as the London - Berlin based artist / singer KAREN KING on the compostion ' Beleif '. .... THE DIELECTRIC announce a series of EP's due to be released in 2008-2009.The focus and motivation behind this trilogy project dreamed-up by founder member J.HOOKENS ( formerly of JERICO ONE> ) is to experiment and explore new sound and conceptual music-art ideas outside the standard band-format and to work with a rotating line-up of new and established artists on the international music-art scene. The first part of the series is entitled ' RAPID-EYE ASSEMBLAGE' ( EP ) VOL-1 conceived between London, Manchester,Berlin and Japan in late December 2006 and October 2007 and marks the beginning of a darkly-beautiful and atmospheric journey undertaken by THE DIELECTRIC to produce and create what can only be best described as a thunderous cacophony of intense melody meets pulsing nightmare soundscapes with an avant-garde mix of edgy, abrasive skull-snapping beats and sub-bass dubtronics'RAPID-EYE ASSEMBLAGE' documents THE DIELECTRIC’S first original compositions/ demos recorded by J.HOOKENS Together with established underground Berlin vocalist and multi-instrumentalist MONA MUR , best known for her collaborations with FM Einheit, Marc Chung and Alex Hacke of EINSTURZENDE NEUBAUTEN and En Esch formerly KMFDM , and the Warsaw Philharmonic to name but a few, who contributes her lead vocals / lyrics and sound ideas to the tracks 'Operative' and 'Shadowless co-written and produced with Hookens .
