The Dig Project is a modern rock band that has enjoyed the privilege playing to thousands of people all over the United States. After a brief relationship with indie label Word of Mouth Records, The Dig Project is proud to once again be a truly independent band.
Encouraged by local success and their former record label, The Dig Project set out on their first tour in the Summer of 2003. Since then, TDP has performed at hundreds of venues for thousands of fans across the country, including repeat performances at Soul Fest, Atlanta Fest, Ichthus Festival and Kindom Bound. in 2004, The Dig Project won a national contest through the Teens For Life organization for which they were awarded a headlining spot on the mainstage at the PL Music fest in Indiana. A high-energy show and a compelling musical message have allowed them to be finalists 4 years in a row in the Kingdom Bound Festival International Talent Search and regularly ensure similar merit in local and regional contests.
After departing their former record label in mid-2005, The Dig Project went to work writing songs for a new full-length album. In anticipation of this release, TDP has just released Gentleman With a Handgun, a four song EP and "sneak preview" of the full-length CD. The Dig Project is proud to boast that both the EP and the full length album are produced by Armond Petri, whose production credits include the Goo Goo Dolls, Sixpence None the Richer and 10,000 Maniacs.
With influences ranging from Collective Soul, The Killers, Live and U2, to Audio Adrenaline and Third Day, this five piece rock group has a hard time feeling comfortable in any one category, but regularly welcomes fans of hard rock, emo, pop, alternative, country, punk, and more.
The Dig Project is chomping at the bit to hit the road this Winter in support of their new EP. Be sure to catch these guys at Ichthus Fest, Sonshine Fest, Soulfest, PL Music Fest, and other popular venues around the country.
