Initially inspired by all 50's, 60's, MP3s, FREE MUSIC and a love for music yer da now calls "right auld soundin"
A meets B in an orrible orrible call centre with an initial vison of a quirky beat sound with contagious harmonies. C joins the band with an agenda of rootsy rockin and impressions of the "burd" and "quentin". last but not least D, our very own drummer man superhero joined after a lengthy assignment with local bands "about time timmy!" and "Red Leicester".
The Debut single 'TELL ME' will be available to download from itunes and all the usual places from Mon 5th Oct 2009. A full album will follow early 2010.
The unreleased demos will remain unreleased, for this week at least.
Like with any release we hope that the wait has been worthwhile.

REVIEWS...
'Tell Me’ is otherwise known as the Credit Crunch song. Topical! You can’t help but relate to it, and it’s really good... a tantalising glimpse of a band who could clearly be absolutely amazing... Must hear more!
Sophie Carville www.redhotvelvet.co.uk (Sept 2009)
Scotland have waited a while for a band to hold close to their bosom, that is until you hear ‘Tell Me’, the new single from The Echo Session. Proudly upbeat with a rollocking, unabashed acoustic sound, like The Blueskins on their day off, this is almost Americana with barely a Scottish intone in earshot.
Their arrival could not be more well timed; let’s face it, with a recession clinging on into the ebbs of summer, the public needs cheering up. Having already amassed a repertoire of tracks like squirrels in autumn, their introduction into the big, bad world of Britain’s music scene is somewhat timely. Even the subject matter is relevant; that of counting the pennies, dodgy bank managers and crooked morals. Yet aptness barely matters with such crafted lyrics that not only resonate but bellow out with enough substance to remember them by but enough joy to want to sing back.
Omar Soliman www.roomthirteen.com (Sept 2009)
Latest Scottish indie hopefuls The Echo Session serve up a folky bluegrass take on the credit crunch... it's indie of the acoustic brand associated with the likes of The Coral. But it could equally be a Kinks or Beatles ditty.
Pete Whalley www.getreadytorock.com (Sept 2009)
"A track that all can relate to in these economical times."
Kathryn Lewsey, Mad Dog magazine (Oct 2009)
"Tell me by recent signing The Echo Session (out tomorrow) looks to
the post Beatles landscape of the north of England, a place peopled by
retro-tunesmiths such as the La's and The Coral, for a countryfied
indie-acoustic pop gem. The timelines of the lyrics, castigating fat
cat bankers and expenses rip-off MPs, makes an unlikely cover star of
Sir Fred Goodwin."
Alan Morrison, The Sunday Herald (4 Oct 2009)
