Hello and welcome to my little space. I lot of people thought I'd retired or given up making music, but I've actually been having a long rest period - taking the time out to train as a sewage maintenance worker in Preston. Now I've hung up my wellies (for the time being) and dragged myself into the computer age. Older viewers might well remember me from the early 1980s, when I remixed Tony Rudd's acoustic love song 'Machadaynu' (as seen on the BBC2 science and technology programme "Look Around You") into a proto hip-hop electro break rap and scratch epic that went to No.1 in the Canadian disco chart.
Since then I've worked with American rapper 'Emineminem', provided Radio 1 "DJ" Chris Moyles with material for his show (which he forgot to credit me for, but I'm sure it was a genuine oversight... as was not replying to my attempts to get in touch for 2 months... easily done I suppose), I've brought together UK popsters 10cc and US dance superstar Michael Jackson (bad timing on that one), I've DJed at 10,000 capacity arenas in Finland, been on Top Of The Pops (I was the one turning the handle which made The Orb's waltzer car spin around), been in talks with several major record labels about contracts (they're going to get back to me, apparently), and generally been one of the hubs that has pushed the music scene forward over the last 30 years or so.
Maybe one day I'll get in front of the cameras and be recognised for my achievments, but for now I'll settle for a few gee.. er... individuals adding me to their 'myspace' profiles. We all have to start somewhere. Cheers! / The FH
Actually, I'm the musician/producer and DJ known as 'Soundhog', using another name for the stuff that I don't consider to be high art. But sssh, don't tell anyone.
