Kathya Alexander, HOME GOING
A son returns home for the first time in 15 years from New York City, after hearing news of his mother's illness. He's bringing his wife home to introduce to the family. His cousin is recently released from prison and is adjusting to life on the outside. The two have been raised like brothers, but have always had a relationship that is couched in jealousy. This is a family that is very affectionate, but not truthful. They exhibit a lot of physical intimacy but not much emotional honesty.

A young woman reflects and tells a powerful story about the trials and tribulations of how the abuse of drugs and can impact a family.
Sandra Boas-DuPree, JOURNEY FROM SPRUCE STREET
Two black women reminisce about the challenges they faced as children when they moved from their inner city home, to a white neighborhood in the late 1960's. Edwin Pratt, president of the Seattle branch of The Urban League, who was assassinated, plays a key role in their lives.
Sharon N. Williams, MY EXPERIENCE
Patricia reflects on her time spent at a Historically Black University while exploring her relationship with her great-Uncle Dool.
