Sounds Like
The bright song of the Blue Jay, flitting from leaf to leaf in the morning fog, as it is run over by a bus loaded up with a righteous Ska band.
You want The Mulligans? You neeeeeeed The Mulligans? Well guess what.
YOU GOT THE MULLIGANS!
This is our myspace. Hope you like it! Here you can get to know the members of the band (sort of), listen to our music, find info on upcoming shows, and all that business that you find on band profiles. Some things you need to know about us:
1.) We are a Ska band. We realize that a lot of you out there don't know what Ska is, so just trust us; you're being deprived. It's a wonderful genre, with a fun dance! SKANK OR DIE!
2.) We are Christians. So please, don't pray to Satan on our behalf. We wouldn't appreciate that.
3.) We are poor. The last time we got paid was when Tropidelic gave us twenty bucks, just because they're awesome. That bought us food at Taco Bell, official restaurant of The Mulligans.
Thanks to all of you wonderful people out there, we're more popular than ever, which is to say we can consistently fill our venues with a respectable crowd. Props go out to everyone who's been to one of our shows, and we encourage everyone to show up to at least one, if you can. It's a fun and crazy time! Bring your friends, family, neighbors, pets (venues allowing), and bums!
Questions and concerns can be send via message to us here on myspace, or to our NEW band email, tehmulligans@gmail.com. In addition, we now have a mailing list! Contact us (again, here or by email) with your name and email address, and we'll add you. We'll send out semi-regular (read: not regular at all) emails with details about upcoming shows and events as we receive the information. Isn't that handy?
We have one full-length CD completed, entitled "The Swing of Things." It's ten bucks, and available...well, at our drummer's house only. No record label yet, unfortunately. But if you're interested in getting one, come to a show, where we normally sell them, or contact us and we'll see if we can't send you one.
We are undergoing a sort of transformation at the moment. We're shifting focuses and goals, we're rewriting some old songs and writing some awesome new ones, and we've got a new member, Zak, to replace the late and lamented, but not yet dead, Curt. He's contributed a lot to our newer songs, too. Come watch us and tell us what you think of him!
We've got a few clips from our live performances up in the videos section. They're far from professional quality, but still a fun and crazy time, so be sure to check them out!
Last, but not least, if you want to use one of our awesome banners or contact tables, look in the appropriately named blog post. We've got too many now to keep them all on the front page, so they are archived in the blog. New ones will be temporarily posted on the main profile to show them off, and eventually archived with the rest. Look through, see if you can't find something pretty for yourself.
hey, you guys had quite a stellar performance as well! we had a good time, thats for sure. we've got a show on the 26th of this month, at the orange street that we need to book bands for... if you're not busy, we'd love to get you guys out there! let us know.
It sucks, man, it turns out I can't get up there this weekend.
Total bummer, right? However, hopefully this summer- because I really wanna see you guys live. Since third-wave was never really that big of a hit, it's amazing that you guys exist.
I'll let you guys know next time I am going to up to Ohio, because I seriously wanna make a stop and meet you guys- and obviously hear you play.
Do you guys have a demo? I have 'I Burn Bridges' and 'Never, Maybe, Forever' and wanna hear everything you guys have.
awesome songs. i dig it. i'm gonna need one of those cd things (zak). i hear they repeat the music of my choice, and i choose THE MULLIGANS. play on, play on.
Last night was AMAZING!!! Although it was weird not knowing the songs completely except for two of them. The songs are super good though, with all the changes and stuff.
