Middle Child Syndrome has been best described as a dark alternative group though their sound is very unique. It's 3 members, Carolyn (Guitar/Vocals), Jason(Bass), and Rob(Drums) all have roots in very different styles of music. From punk to hip-hop and everything in between, you can hear subtle influences of many different genres. The vocals have been described as "haunting" and have been compared to Siouxsie and the Banshees. Layered over intricate bass lines and hard hitting drums, this group combines beauty with edge in a way that's never been heard. In the last 3 years, Middle Child Syndrome has hit the ground running, playing with rappers, Japanese metal, synth rock, emo, and industrial acts across Washington DC, Baltimore and Virginia. They were featured at the Virginia stop of Bella Morte's Beautiful Death Tour. The reactions of the crowds are consistently positive and since the release of their first demo they have been gaining popularity by leaps and bounds. They have earned the respect of every act they've played with and have no intention of slowing down. Watch for their name in the near future.
