The Phase started back in 1997 as a solo project of Riku Pasanen. This project released one album called Views in 1998. Album exists as only few copies owned by few friends and parents. Then The Phase fell asleep for 5 years... until Ari Sinkkonen and Johan Fallenius, friends from former bands and music projects, got hold of the album, listened to it and played along with it, fellows decided to unite musical interests and ambitions into a group. The Phase was reborn.

It’s a live studio groove rock jam that’s funky as hell! Think of Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxey Lady” on steroids, and you’ll have a good idea of what’s in store for you when you hear the song. There’s also a companion live video for the song. And in the video I DO MY UPSIDE-DOWN GUITAR PLAYING THING. Ya gotta see it!!

Hello Riku, The Phase, dear Friends! I am here today to let you know that I’ve got a SMS yesterday from our friend and brother Frank Arras, one of the nicest people here on MySpace and an excellent guitar player. He has asked me to tell everybody that he is ill and that’s the reason why he has not reported lately any more.
So I ask you, let put the energies together, go everyone on Frank his site and leave a message to him. It will be certainly good for him.
