Hi kids, Great gig last night (piccies to follow). Russell is a guitar maestro despite being beaten up by a tailpipe. Love the new songs. Get 'em out soon. Sarah, get a gig booked at The freebutt. Hope it's not another two year wait for the next one and glad the stool's still earning it's keep. Steve x
our old friends THE LODGER new single / album out on Bad Sneakers with bouncing bass and extra jangle here is their new video which is reallly nice: http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=LGQ114DPvuY
finally.... there is a new issue of The Cuckoo Press coming out soon!! watch out for updates.. we have a couple of spaces left for nice adverts, so if you want one.. see you soon!!xx
Two songs I wish to enquire after, if I may please: firstly, in Liverpool one time Russell said he was working on a song featuring the line "you made the greyhounds stop in their tracks". secondly, there was a song with a "Grease" sort of vibe that you were playing the last few times I saw you (2006ish). Are either of these going to see the light of day anytime soon?
In completely unrelated news from Wednesdays gig I've been going to the Wakefield Beer Festival the last few years. It's amazing. You should play there. Then it'd move from amazing to unbelievable.
Hey Research, nice to see you last night, the guitar sound suits your songs really well. If you're playing on the 24th you should hang around for the 25th, we have a Brainlove Club in London and James is playing with his new band setup, and John & Jehn are playing too, and they're ace.
Greetings from Brighton. Will you also be supporting Ted Leo on the 22nd by the seaside? If not I'll be paying my respects to yourselves and the wonderful Mr Lewis at the (also) wonderful Windmill.
Hello The Research, I was wondering, a long long long time ago you had a country folky version of 'true love weighs a tonne', with violins, it was well good, can it be downloaded or bought at a retailer near me at all?? love love
Oh no! Sarah's moving back to wakey and I never even saw her but a couple of times in brighty! Sorry sarah! Good luck with everything. I'll try and come to one of your london gigs. Come back to brighton!! xxx
I think the party should be in Wakefield, don't you? Can I stay in Georgia's pink living room again? She has the only cat in the world that doesn't make me sneeze. xx P
Russell, Sarah, Georgia (and Charlotte & Jamie & all the rest at band camp too) - call me! Let's have a party! You're off EMI and coming to London... both our albums are finished, let's celebrate! xx P
I am excited about the rebirth of the Research! We have missed you terribly. Please being your chaotic pop to my living room (or Liverpool will do). Danielle xxx
