Elite Force - Modern Primitive (Remixes) (Rogue Element / Dan F / Double Black Mixes) [Re:Vision 003] [UAA010] OUT NOW :: Exclusively at Beatport
U&A are proud to release the third in the Re:Vision series of Elite Force remixes, with there being no let up in the quality control. Three much-respected remixers get their hands on their choice of tracks from Elite Force's classic 'Modern Primitive' album from 2006 ... first up is the mighty Rogue Element, who kick 'Kinetic Connection' hard & pick up the pace to transform the wistful original into a massive, filthy electro-house jamdown. Next up, Hong Kong production legend, Dan F, gets dark & druggy on our asses in turning 'Mygen' into a classic slab of late nite Radioslave-esque industrial psychedelia. Finishing things off is a majestic & epic re-working of 'Shivva' by Double Black, sure to find favour with a huge range of DJs for what is essentially a timeless piece of blissed-out electronica. Dubs are also available for the Dan F & Double Black mixes as well as full vocal versions. Skillz.

MOST PLAYED SEP/OCT 2008:
1. The Kills - Cheap and Cheerful (Sebastian Remix) - Domino -
Stonking glitchy rock number a l'homme Francais - top top stuff.
2. MGMT - Kids (Soulwax Remix) - Columbia - Unsurprisingly, Soulwax
come up trumps yet again on this one - BIG EPIC etc etc
3. The Rogue Element - Hive - Exceptional -New single from yours
truly, out on Exceptional in November.
4. The Ting Tings - Be The One (Japanese Popstars Remix) - Columbia -
Playing this out is like getting your head kicked in would be, if
getting your head kicked in didn't hurt and possibly result in
hospitalisation.
5. Blowfelt - Killa Blow (CDR) OLD SCHOOL. Dredged up from my murky
past, a welcome reacquaintance with an old comrade.
6. Wiley - Summertime (Bart B More Remix) This one is stripped down
and bouncy with a killer vocal - works really well as an opener for
me.
7. The Rogue Element - Escalation (CDR) - Secret battle weapon action.
8. Charlie Fanclub 'Jet' (Work It Baby) - This is nutso, gnarly saw
waves and swooshing action, as you might expect from a record so named
9. A- Trak 'They Say Whoah' (Boyz Noise Remix) - Boyz Noise - nice and
moody semi-breakbeat (ooooh!!), good mid-set number for me.
10. Disco of Doom 'The Click' - Passenger - OK, so it scares the shit
out of 90% of dancefloors, but I still love it.
'Has the emotional depth and intelligence of a real album' - DJ MAGAZINE
