A super-collision of percussive harp, crazed bebop drums, and glacial waves of guitar; shamanic cello, married with primal electronica, creating a melodic cacophony that is as cerebral as it is soulful. An expression of our fragmented musical landscape, The Shadow Orchestra celebrate the common ground that exists between 20th century classical, pre-fusion jazz, late 80s indie, and the joyous experimentation of early dance.
The Band is producer and cellist Chris Bangs, co-producer and guitarist Chris Warren, Kat Arney on harp and Dave Oliver on drums. Their musical experience and expertise makes them all a perfect ingredient for the Shadow Orchestra sound, all possessing an innate ability to blend disparate musical elements into a pop aesthetic. Songs such as the gorgeous, oriental influenced ‘Plucking and Bowing’ to the full-scale electronic masterpiece ‘Sweet as a Nut’, The Shadow Orchestra show their musical wizardry and diversity by combining traditional elements and mixing them beautifully with forward thinking sounds.
The band formed just over three years ago, when Bangs had produced a substantial and impressive amount of material of his own. Wanting to escape the limitations of being a one-man-laptop show he teamed up with Chris Warren, who had previously worked as a sound engineer for the Cocteau Twins, and with whom he shared a similar breadth of musical influences. Kat Arney joined the band not long after; her experience as a classical and contemporary harp virtuoso, complimented by her formidable talents as a clarinet and bass clarinet player, made her a perfect fit. Finally, Dave Oliver was recruited on drums, whose love of experimenting with different musical styles grew from his previous involvement with jazz, classical and reggae outfits.
The band released their critically acclaimed eponymous debut album in 2005, described as a creative homage of many musical influences from the experimental electronica of Aphex Twin, Four Tet and DJ Shadow, to the multi-rhythmic playing of Ali Farka-Toure and Toumani Diabate, to the emotional expressionism of Van Morrison’s early releases and the experimental compositions of Charles Mingus, Moondog and The Penguin Cafe Orchestra. The album received extensive radio play in the UK and Europe.
The band successfully completed a festival appearance at the ’Big Chill festival’ in 2006 and have become regulars at popular London venues ‘Cargo’ , ‘Luminaire’ and most recently played a sold out gig supporting DJ Krush at London’s KoKo theatre. They’re set to release a new EP in summer 2008 with plans of a full UK tour and festival dates to be announced shortly.

In order to get demons out, we usually need to know what it was that gave them the legal right to enter in the first place! Then by renunciation of that thing, and by determined faith in God, we can, with God's authority, command the related demons to leave. The demons will be forced to leave. Demons cannot just enter people any time they want to. They need a legal opening to do so. Knowledge of the things that open the door to demons will give us the knowledge of how to keep the door shut on them. It is also necessary in order to maintain our deliverance. IN JESUS CHRIST ALL CAN BE FREED FROM THE CHAINS OF GENERATIONAL AND CULTURAL SINS and LIVE IN THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD. But often DELIVERANCE IS NEEDED BEFORE THIS CAN BE REALISED. A few EXAMPLES OF OPENING THROUGH WHICH DEMONS CAN GET IN: RITUALS OF NON-BIBLICAL RELIGIONS, CULTS and SECRET SOCIETIES. These can open the door for demons to get into people - DEMONS WHICH will later WORK TO BLIND THEM TO THE TRUE GOSPEL. Therefore, in seeking light from the Holy Spirit concerning a particular need for deliverance, be it in your own life or someone else's, be aware of this possibility. One of the MOST COMMON ENTRANCE OF DEMONS is through CHANNELING THE SPIRITS.
Channeling is an ocCULT METHOD used to summon and communicate with the spirits. Demons enter by invitation. The invitation to enter gives them legal ground to begin an OPPRESSION or POSSESSION. DEMONIC CONTROL is directly related to the time and effort a person engages in the CHANNELING ACTIVITY. I know someone who personally needed much deliverance from spirits associated with the freemasons. His great grandfather was a high level freemason and the curse associated with that did affect his family and him. After deliverance from this his spiritual life was able to go forward and he had much more peace in his walk with God. There was definitely a SPIRITUAL STRUGGLE and some DEMONS HAD TO BE COUGHED OUT OF HIS SYSTEM AS HE CAME TO THE LORD JESUS FOR DELIVERANCE.
HURTS and WOUNDS FROM OTHERS: when people don't deal properly with the hurts they receive from others in life, by forgiving them fully, they are going to be opened up to demons. Spirits of resentment, rejection, anger, hatred and bitterness are very common amongst people who have been dealt hard and hurtful blows by others. If this applies to you, for your own sake, FORGIVE them, and AVOID SPEAKING EVIL of them. Otherwise you will go on suffering needlessly. Also, we are only forgiven by God to the extent that we forgive our brethren from the heart (Matthew 6:12,14,15). That's just the way it is. MANY FORMS OF MODERN ENTERTAINMENT OPEN PEOPLE TO DEMONIC INVASION: much in the film, television and music industries is inspired by satan and opens people up to satanic or worldly philosophy and the influence of demons. PORNOGRAPHY, ocCULTIC ROLE-PLAYING GAMES or DEVICES to supposedly COMMUNICATE WITH THE DEAD or TELL FORTUNES ALL OPEN PEOPLE UP TO DEMONS. These days the majority of films and television shows have elements which glorify evil, promote witchcraft, lust, or inspire fear. Many video games, besides being a huge waste of time, have violent themes which at worst can inspire violent attitudes and behavior in people.

Hey! Hope you are doing good. I wanted to let you know about a show i'm doing in London on Sunday, June 1st.
I'm touring with Tommy Allsup. He played guitar with Buddy Holly, and is the guy playing on songs like "Heartbeat", "It's So Easy", etc, etc.....he is 76 and still going strong.
He is a character.
Anyway, i would love to see you at the show. I think as a fellow musician that you will really appreciate seeing Tommy play, and listening to his stories! He is THE guy that flipped the coin with Ritchie Valens.
