Oral Funk Poetry Production: The purpose of "The Signature is to revive, share, support, and provide a stage for artist to transcend there gifts through performance and visual expression. Our signature showcase will include local and national performing artist. Our vision is to raise the morale of “the people” who are supportive and consistently embrace arts in our local community. This opportunity will allow our company, artist, and constitutes to work with other organizations/ appreciate cultural diversity and the importance of networking. Production Description: "The Signature--A Poetic Medley Show" is a stunning medley show of performing and visual arts with a universal application. The show includes authentic and diverse forms of poetry,drama/ dance, rhythm/blues, reggae, jazz, neo-soul/hip-hop and funk. Artistic Reflection: Our goal is to cultivate a atmosphere that will connect the artist desire to deliberately create with a community who wants to nurture growing creative voices. UPCOMING AUDITION DATES: THE ART OF WORD...Calling All Performing Poets!!! Oral Funk Poetry Productions PARTNERS W/ Muse Machine *This is a paid position w/ a minimum guarantee of twenty performances. Spoken Word poets to co-create and perform a 45-minute show that travels to secondary schools throughout the Miami Valley in September and October, 2009. The show will incorporate your poetry into a performance that celebrates the tradition of Spoken Word poetry and its connections to hip hop culture. Starting at 4pm on May 27 and 11am on May 30, Email Patty Rapp at patty@musemachine.com to schedule an appointment.
