About Skylab

Imagine living in a story where human beings embrace the most far-seeing robotic technology as a religion. This is a story of deep space voyages, of ferocious battles and lost friendships, of technology and chaotic post-modern cities.

Imagine sci-fi in music form and you have Skylab.

A project conceived and made into a reality by Emanuele Petrucci, drummer and multi-instrumentalist coming from frigid northeastern Italy.

Artificial is the title of the self-produced debut album that was released in February 2008. It is a concept album based on the epic and futuristic story called “Artificiality” which will be available online soon at www.theskylab.eu

Artificial is fast, heavy, intense, melodic and melancholy, it has a metal foundation but it certainly goes beyond that, mixing electronic and orchestral elements.

It is a soundtrack. It is a futuristic environment in which we hope you find yourself fascinated.
