Sounds Like
sounds like cack or some say: from demo universe ""Artful, intelligent, richly textured indie-rock from this Hoboken, New Jersey-based band led by singer-guitarist Dave Urbano, late of emo heroes Aviso'Hara (in which he played bass) and the aggro-art ensemble Suran Song In Stag. The softer bits of Smashing Pumpkins can be heard in Analog.Living's Beatlesque progressions and measured tempos and Urbano's veiled vocals, while moments of spiny dissonance and stuttering beats bring to mind Shudder To Think, the Slow Wire is neither as melodramatic nor as mathematic as those comparisons might suggest. Dave and company maintain a careful balance between introversion and extroversion, urban cool and suburban emotion, never letting melody fall behind in the pursuit of new edges. The result may not always be as thrilling as the fiery title track but Analog.Living never fails to entertain." -Jim Santos

More about Dave from The Slow Wire
I used to have an old band(avisohara) that i played bass in. We wrote songs about girls, driving and drinking ( like all quality rock n' roll bands) LE returno of the band is happening to give all them skinny kids a lesson. 5-6 shows: ny, nj, brooklyn, boston and baltimore. We're going to do a live album for emusic and then see how it goes. Check-out AVISO on myspace.
The Slow Wire was/is my side project i cropped up while the other guys hacked away at theirs(sparks fly from a kiss, The fireside chats and clydesdale)... Slow wire song topics are in context of: blogs, video games, computer addictions/habits, allergic reactions to bad music and other sentiments that go along with it all, while bringing down the noise fader a bit. The premise is the same in the end.
It's all about the art of song. right? What if your inspiration lacked art? Remember the flick Sleeper and the bad poetry scene. That is what The Golden Age of Treason is all about; if i had to spell it out for you. Currently, bringing in some new gear at home to record what is tentatively titled BUCKSHOT FOR HUNTER. If you get it that is good for you.
The first record, analog.living was recorded w/ Wayne Dorell (who twiddled knobs with pavement, chavez, shudder to think). The 2nd release The golden age of Treason was recorded with friend Chris Pierce at his stufio Technical Ecstasy in New Brunswick with Marc on and I on the mixing knobs.
