The idea came to director Shaun Robert Smith at college in 1998 when he directed his student film 'AWOL to Horror' a horror film about the undead in vietnam!!! He then went on to direct the unfinished 'The Twitching Dead' which would lead on the idea of the feature film of both short films combined. But the 2 days later short film fest popped up in 2007 and Shaun jumped at the chance to give the world a taster of his idea (The Soldier) He got together with Lincoln based Editors Studio and produced 'The Soldier' in 46 hours.
