The Spunks
NY-based Japanese trash-punk sensations The Spunks are at it again, so look out! Following the stellar response to their single Russian Roulette on Gearhead in 2005, they headed back to the legendary Coney Island based Cyclone Sound to record their debut full-length Yellow Fever Blues. Produced and engineered by Don Fury (Youth of Today, Agnostic Front, Bouncing Souls, Sick Of It All) The Spunks unleash a sonic typhoon of blazing punk rock that you must hear to believe. Even Don Fury was blown away by how hard this band rocks, and this guy has seen it all! Singing mostly in English about sex, Chinese food, rock n' roll and motorcycles, the band's, youthful, often sexually charged and self destructive stage performances have earned them a steadily growing fan base, and with Gearhead Records behind them now, there's no telling what this band will do next.

Just a reminder for those of you who may see this comment and not be aware, The Spunks disbanded 2 years ago. So requests for shows, tracks for compilations etc are unfortunately not realistic. This is why I've had to disable friend requests from bands etc, as we continue to receive e-mail that seems unaware the band is no longer together. 2/3rds of the band now live in Japan and to the best of my knowledge there is no plan for The Spunks to reform, but thanks for your continued interest.

I HATE MYSPACE! I don't even know if Hajime or Joji log in anymore, but every time I do all it amounts to is spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam and spam. This site has become COMPLETELY USELESS. I would actually delete this profile entirely and my own Al Batross one but THIS PATHETIC SITE DOESN'T EVEN WORK PROPERLY.
