The Steeples are a four piece outfit from Ormskirk, Lancashire. Forming in early 2007 the band quickly made inroads in the British music industry and signed to independent label EM Records in late 2007. A full 6 month UK tour followed with the band receiving national Radio (BBC, XFM) and Television coverage (MTV2, E4) for singles 'Britneys tears' and 'Loosy Lucy' and their debut album 'Tea for Two' all of which are available at www.townsend-records.co.uk and other reputable music outlets.
In an indie scene that was thriving The Steeples constant touring built them up an impressive fanbase stretching the length and breadth of the UK playing with such established acts as The Law, The Bluetones, Glasvegas, Cat the Dog and Figure 5. As the bands fanbase grew, the direction of the lads musical tastes diversified.
After a 2 month break The Steeples added James William 'J' Hackett to their line-up on drums and have come back with several new tracks on which they will build their new sound. The tracks available on the myspace site right now are the first of this batch.
The Steeples are back out around the UK for some much needed gigs to showcase their new material to their established fanbase.
