James and Sid first formed The Steers from within the confines of Sid’s student bedroom, a space resourcefully used not just as a sleeping area but also as a recording studio-come-gig venue. Ben and Kris joined the band some time later, after James and Sid has sifted through 12 other members, and were united by a mutual fondness bands like The Jam, Blur, Radiohead and The Clash.
