Hector: Opeth, Deicide, Devil Driver, Black Sabbath, Slayer, Cryptopsy, Obituary, Mayhem,Cephalic Carnage, Aborted, Nile, Nasum, At the Gates, the Haunted, and Behemoth.
Wake was formed by Andrew and Hector at some point in 2004. Justin eventually joined on bass and "Fucked from every direction" (then named "Deep inside of me") was written. Nothing got done until 2005 when Clay joined in and around the same time JZB left.
Clay began writing the riffs/songs that are the first three on the site. Galen joined in on bass and "Epic" was formed. Mike picked up the mic and started screaming and we played several shows at Arch Street and Arcadia. For a time while Galen was "ill-disposed" Pat joined in on bass and played a few shows with us until Galen got back. Clay went off to college in the fall of 2006, but we are still playing during breaks.
We recorded a demo on July 28th and here is a portion of it. Keep in mind, the vocals and lyrics are improvised.
The last song is one that we had been fooling around with, pretty much a few riffs I wrote and just pieced together. Bear with the beginning, it was recorded in one take, the first real time we played it, and we put it on becuase it has one of the coolest riffs in it. Take a listen...
