The palehorse is a seldom witnessed beast. For almost ten years they have produced music soaked in discomfort and tension, endowed with a melodic inclination and possessed of an introverted and humorous approach to structure and presentation. The horse moves slowly forward, often frustratingly so, and since their inception in 2000 they have released only two records (2003's full length "Gee, that ain't swell" on Dry Run Recordings and 2008's EP "Habitual Linestepper on Eyesofsound Records)." On record palehorse create shifting moods and swelling, meandering journeys through darkness and light; unease and resolution-a portrait of urban decay. Live, the horse is a mighty leviathan, crushing the listener with their gargantuan tumult. It is an experience well worth witnessing. 2010 will see the release of their second full-length album "Soft as Butter; Hard as Ice."
