"Sequels is a twenty minute plus track that spans at least 5 genre's, from Dark Ambient to IDM to Spoken Word to Field Recording to Hip Hop. Brian Woods aka The Bird Cage Theater, influenced in part by Carlos Giffoni's track Bushwick, sought out to write a piece inspired by life in NYC. The results are as unique as they are inspired."

Established in September 2006, UNSOUND NYC is an organisation dedicated to bringing the best in live underground music to the stage in New York City.
Spanning a range of obscure sounds from dark ambient, industrial noise and power electronics to doom, drone and post metal, we have hosted a diverse cross section of some of today's most challenging artists.
Currently curated by two independent experimental music labels, ANNIHILVS POWER ELECTRONIX and THTFL, with over a decade of collective experience organising and promoting live events in and around New York City, UNSOUND NYC seeks to make a lasting impact on the NYC underground scene.
To reach this goal, we are seeking partnerships with other labels, promoters, and artists to foster a sense of community based on mutual respect.
In August 2008, UNSOUND will begin anew at FONTANAS on the Lower East Side.
We are presently planning four events from August to November 2008, with a hiatus between December 2008 and March 2009, when we plan to return with APEX FEST III, the third in a series of bi-annual gatherings of respected artists from the international underground industrial music scene.
Continuing a tradition begun in January 2008, each future UNSOUND event will feature works by a different visual artist or author with ties to the underground scene, opening the doors to more exposure for all parties involved, lengthening our reach and further broadening our sense of community.

Thats cool that you're having SubArachnoid Space play, they're an extremely underappreciated band, i saw them live 5 years ago and it was amazing. I dont live in New York but i told someone i know to go to the SubArachnoid Space show at Fontana's and she's going !!

EASTER returns to NYC this Saturday, July 12th!! At fancy tex-mex restaurant and rock venue Don Pedro. This event will be a fundraiser for the independent zombie film "Resurrection" and many of the bands and fans will be disguised as the living dead! So feel free to slop on some corpsepaint, blood, ripped clothes, etc. or just come out looking like hell in general. It doesn't matter! Whatever you look like, EASTER will rock you into re-animation!!
