Thump was born in 2002 when Ben (drummer at this time) Guy (guitarist)
and Morgan (bass) decided to create a band, having already played together for 2 years.
At this time the band just needed a singer and a 2nd guitarist. A lot of people came and
went during the next two years, for finally taking Mathieu as a second guitarist.
Then Ben took the mic and Charles joined to hit the drum.
Principally influenced by punk-rock and metal music, the band decided to mix it all
instead of choosing a special kind, to create an original style wich also include hardcore
sonorities :
Thump started shows on March 2006 and found its style going on stage and doing energic
shows : "This is what droves us to create catchy-powerfull music".
At the beggining of 2007, the band was ready to record and finally got an opportunity
in Studio Sainte Marthe in Paris on May. Supported by Guillaume Mauduit, Thump launched
its first EP "This is Against Them" on June 15.
HYPNOSIS is really happy and proud to announce that they have inked a deal with DARK BALANCE RECORDS (NL) for the worldwide release of their last album « The Synthetic Light Of Hope » with a new mastering done at MAILMEN STUDIO in Holland (Dreadlock Pussy, Eluveitie, Slechtvalk, etc.) in October 2009 as follow :

On June 8, 1967, a date which will live in infamy, a United States ship, the USS Liberty, was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the State of Israel. Thirty-four American sailors died and 174 were wounded. There was no retaliation, no honest investigation, and no assistance from American forces. Israel got away with cold blooded murder.
On September 11, 2001, planes struck the two WTC towers, and shortly thereafter both towers fell. But did you know that a third large building also collapsed on September 11 at 5:20 in the afternoon and that this building, WTC 7, wasn't even hit by a plane? What could have caused such an unusual collapse, which had all the characteristics of a controlled demolition? Again, there has been no honest investigation.
