Welcome to tindersticks myspace and the start of a new chapter of the band’s history.
A new album "The Hungry Saw" is recorded and set for release on Beggars Banquet on April 28th. It was recorded quickly in our new ’Le Chien Chanceux’ studio in deepest France - an ambient space, craved for for a long time. The band has simultaneously stripped down to its core and expanded into a larger family of musicians - some familiar faces, some new ones and this fresh input, along with the perspective of our time away, seems to have made us rediscover the soul of the band.
Reviews are already appearing - “flawless" (4/5) said Mojo, "as dark and mysterious as before" (4/5) said Q and Uncut said it sounded like we have “returned refreshed.” The wait is almost over and you can now pre-order it from these online retailers - Rough Trade, Play.com, and Amazon.
We will also be releasing a single (of the same name) as a limited 7" and download on April 14th. It’s available to hear above on our player and will be backed by a new track called ‘Back To The Earth’. This too can be pre-ordered now from Rough Trade and Record Store.
We’ve announced some shows as you can see, thanks to all who have bought tickets and there’s more to come so keep checking back for updates. Also our website continues to expand and you can check it here.
