About The Tipsy Gypsies

The Tipsy Gypsies are a Gypsy Jazz Quartet on the Central Coast of California. They play music inspired by Django Reinhardt and Billie Holiday, but also explore other genres like Bossa Nova, Latin, classic Swing, as well as working up modern pieces of music (Radiohead, Beatles, Portishead) in a Gypsy Jazz style.

The traditional line up of the Tipsy Gypsies and the tonality evokes memories of times past, blended with the present in a uniquely pleasant sound. At any given show, one can find people of all ages enjoying this music, bridging an age gap and keeping the energy lively.
