Great review of The Horseshoe show in the March issue of Exclaim 'Another big-by-most-standards band, had a hard time stealing the night from the earlier bombast; but with a collection of unbelievably catchy songs and an unbelievably loud and tight band playing them, they did'
That was a great set at The Horseshoe. A glad-to-be-alive jamboree of jazz-swing, Balkan-folk, country, mariachi, East Coast music, building the bridge between indie-rock and a classic-ensemble inspired by an ecclectic cannon. A feverish powerhouse of propulsive energy, sizzling in full heat, like a runaway train tearing up the tracks.
