Tiger Mountain, a now-defunct group featuring Steve Thomas, guitar and keyboards; and Tony Renner, guitar. Tiger Mountain's peak was playing on the parking lot of Terrastock I, April 26, 1997, in Providence, Rhode Island. ANAGRAMS: A Tribute to Derek Bailey. Tony Renner in a solo guitar homage to Derek Bailey. Three electric guitar tracks have recently been added. Two other acoustic tracks are also available. The complete ANAGRAMS project will be ready for internet release Christmas of 2007. Poison Rat R. Experimental electronics from Tony Renner. New tracks featuring Japanese cyberpunk writer Kenji Siratori added! The Art School Boys, a solo project featuring Tony Renner, keyboards, guitars, and drums. Unsettled Ground. A live electric guitar improvisation by Tony Renner. Recorded at the Des Lee Gallery in October 2005. Feel free to download any of these tracks to remix or to provide a basis for a new piece of your own! Tony Renner, experimental electric guitar	Jan 5 2008 1:00 PM Liam O'Gallagher, 90, a Beat Avant-Gardist and Teacher, Dies By RANDY KENNEDY/New York Times Liam O'Gallagher, an avant-garde sound artist, painter and teacher whose San Francisco studio became an early gathering place for Beat writers and poets in the 1950s, died Dec. 4 at his home in Santa Barbara, Calif. He was 90. He was also active in the worlds of theater and dance, collaborating with the pioneering choreographer Anna Halprin on "Ceremony of Us," an encounter staged in 1969 between African-American dancers from the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles and dancers from her San Francisco Dancers' Workshop, who were primarily white. In some circles, he is probably best known for sound art that combined performance, chance and technology to create surreal, sometimes funny works like "Border Dissolve in Audiospace" from 1970, a fuzzy, echoing recording in which directory operators are called and asked to look up various numbers. "I wanted the phone number of the city zoo," Mr. O’Gallagher asks dryly. "The city jail?" the operator responds, in a high, officious voice. "No, the city zoo, operator."

Renner art at Meshuggah Cafe	Dec 13 2007 12:09 PM The Aviation Club (featuring Jon Ferber, of the Orbits, and Mike Burgett) will re-unite and play at Off Broadway, 3509 Lemp Avenue, St. Louis, on Friday, January 4, 2008. The Aviation Club will perform songs that haven't been heard for 20 years. Other guests will be announced. The evening will celebrate the first anniversary of the archival web site www.JetLagMag.net. The site celebrates the earliest days of the St. Louis punk and wave scene with scans of each issue of that seminal fanzine, Jet Lag Magazine. Proceeds from the event will help to A Thousand Books send books to Peace Corps teachers.
