Loran (Lead Screaming Vox) Is it an airplane hanger? Is it the Dartford tunnel? No it's Loran's mouth.
Loran has been singer for 12 years and has studied at many music colleges. She has a very wide variety of musical influences from all genres and has a passion for powerful vocals and strong stage presence.
TJ (Twiddles, Fills, Amps that Go to Eleven and Backing Vocalisations)
Has an unhealthy fixation with sandwiches.
TJ has lived in Colchester all his life. He started playing classical guitar at the age of 12 but soon decided that classical guitar was the entirely wrong direction for him...
At the age of 12 and 1/4 he threw down his classical guitar and bought his first electric and never looked back!
He has had much experience in previous bands but only started playing lead guitar since joining Torn Asunder in January 2007.
His greatest accomplishment was learning their entire set for a headline slot at the Clapham Grand in London in 8 days, including writing solos for 2 of the songs. TJ believes in living every day like it's his last one. TJ'S BIO EMAIL TJ

Marcus (Heavy Duty Powerchords, Ear-Splitting Harmonics and Additional Melodic Words)
Prawn cocktail crisps turn him on quote: "They're my favourites!" unquote.
Marcus bought his first guitar aged 15. However, he has no idea why...! He has never regretted the decision and wrote his first song two days after buying his first axe. Since then he has played in various bands, and has grown to become an integral part of the Torn Asunder machine. He cites Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge and Stephen Jenkins of Third Eye Blind as his main influences, and the lack of decent quality British Rock around today as his biggest inspiration.
"In an age where bands like Coldplay and Keane can be nominated and even win Best Rock awards, something needs to be done to save the state of British Music. Hopefully thats where Torn Asunder will come in. We want to make Rock what it used to be. To take it back to the top of the heap and earn some respect. Its about the attitude as well as the music." Steve (All the Really Low Notes and High Pitched Shreaking)
Always has somethin' in his eye, usually bits of yesterdays eye liner.
Steve Loves most kinds of music and artists, from Slayer to Clannad, from Mötley Crüe to Seth Lakeman. Steve believes that music should be kept live and people should go to more live shows, especially Torn Asunder gigs. Steve grew up in Surrey and has played in bands both in the UK and the USA, and knows that Torn Asunder is, by far, the best band he has ever worked with. STEEVI'S BIO EMAIL STEEVI

Spence (He's ANIMAL… what more can we say?)
Still trying hard to bring white socks into fashion.
Spence has a relentless passion for music and performing is his driving force. He lives for the moment that he walks on stage.
Spence started playing drums when he was in his teens after many years of moving his arms and legs in time to the music, or AIR DRUMMING BABY!
Drawing influence from artists as diverse as Trivium to Joss Stone, he blends it into his own hard-hitting style. Like everyone else who's ever been in a band, his dream is to do this on a full time basis.
"So here's to chasing those dreams and if nothing else, let's enjoy the ride!!!"

SO WHAT ON EARTH IS TORN ASUNDER ALL ABOUT?!?
Tired of pretentious art rock, or pathetic pop...? Then Torn Asunder is the answer to your prayers. The underlying philosophy is the age old formula. Pounding guitars, screaming solos, funky bass lines, intricate drumming and powerful vocals. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
AND WHO ON EARTH ARE TORN ASUNDER?!?
Torn Asunder is a group with truly international experience, spanning several decades and styles. Consisting of the brothers Marcus and Spencer on guitars and drums respectively, these two have been playing in bands together since their teenage years. Joe, on guitar, has played in several Essex based bands before Torn Asunder. Steve has played bass in bands both in the UK and the US and has gigged with international acts such as Great White, Dokken and Blue Oyster Cult. Loran graduated from the Vocal Institute in London and has been gigging both with bands and solo. Having four accomplished vocalists within one band has enabled Torn Asunder to create a melodic, four part harmonies which is something that has been lacking in rock for many a year. Torn Asunder's goal is a simple one. To combine really powerful vocals with an old school heavy rock sound. The time is right for a really kick-ass, female fronted rock act to take the world by storm. Whether your 8 or 80, prepare for the EVOLUTION OF ROCK!!!!
Torn Asunder still believes in rocking out and will be doing so at a club near you soon.
Thank you guys for playing on Saturday, was a cracking set, everything we were expecting and more, hope you enjoyed playing as much as we did having you there.
