Touchstone are a five piece Rock band based in Herts/Oxon. Their specific and unique brand of melodic rock has appealed to many people across the world. The band consists of Kim (Elkie) Seviour on vocals, Rob (Lord Cotters) Cottingham on vocals, keys and sfx, Adam (Hodgie) Hodgson on guitars, Paul (Moo) Moorghen on bass and BVs and Al (Pantumper) Melville on drums. The debut album Discordant Dreams was recorded at Outhouse Studios in June 2007, and released on 10th September 2007. It was voted the second best album of 2007 by the members of the Classic Rock Society at whose award night they were presented with the award for Best New Band 2007.
Touchstone have just finished recording their second album which is called WINTERCOAST. Again, it was recorded at the famed OUTHOUSE studio in Reading and was engineered by Ben Humphreys and Matty O'Grady. It was again mixed by the specialist ears of John Mitchell, who has again made a special guest appearance.
In addition to this Touchstone also have a very special guest appearance by multi award winner and internationally-renowned actor, JEREMY IRONS, for which they are very proud and honoured.
The new album was released on 1st June 2009, ordering details are included on our website (link below) and the first album can still be ordered from many online retailers or in store at HMV throughout the UK.

I thought that some of your fans and friends might be interested in 2 great progressive rock events coming up in August and October in Southern California.
The first features Spock's Beard drummer Nick D'Virgilio and a band of 12 as "Rewiring Genesis" performing The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
The second is our sixth annual progressive rock festival: CalProg. This year's lineup is It Bites, Karmakanic, Agents of Mercy and Touchstone. Also Spiraling's Tom Brislin will be performing a solo set on the patio during the dinner break.

Congrats on Wintercoast it ROCKS! Touchstone just keep going from strength to strength. We just need a Live DVD now to complete the set. Ever thought of touring in Poland? I think the Slaski Theatre in Katowice, is available for a small fee! lol Keep on rocking dudes.
