Lusting for a more organic sound, New MC of Kanser, approached Heiruspecs bassist Sean McPherson and drummer Kevin Hunt with an idea of a live hip hop band that would connect modernity with tradition. With raging ambition, the three local hip hop lotharios joined heads and spawned their lovechild, Traditional Methods.

Remaining true to his roots, New's lyrical inflection never ceases to resound his Southside Minneapolis upbringing. What makes New unique is the rapper's unwavering sincerity in his performance and artistic expression, which consistently connects his humbling wisdom to his ardent love for hip hop. Holding it down for female emcees in the Twin Cities, Sarah White blends her sexy, soulful voice with firebrand lyrics that incite a quiet riot in us all. Traditional Methods have been charting on local radio stations with their debut 12". The band has toured regionally and has opened for such famed musical talents as Fishbone and Medusa. They're band is currently bangin' out a new album fatefully titled Falling Forward.
