Collector/DJ:
I began collecting records in the early 1990s. Influenced by my brother's excellent
music tastes, I too quickly became a vinyl junky. At first only interested in
Funk/Soul and Hip Hop, my musical interests developed over the years, adding
Afro, Latin/Brasilian and funky Breaks and Beats to my pallet. In 2000 I became
a professional DJ. In the same year I was touring Europe with 'The Poets of
Rhythm', the worlds first retro-funk band which brought back the deep funk sound
and had released one of their last albums on DJ Shadow's Quannum label. I continued
DJ-ing and finally did a huge tour in June/July 2006 where I toured Europe and
Australia to promote my second compilation 'Movements 2'. Compilations:
2005: Movements 1 on Perfect Toy Records
2006: Movements 2 on Perfect Toy Records
2007: This Is My Thing on Tramp Records
2009: Contemporary Funk on Tramp Records
2010: Contemporary Jazz on Tramp Records
Producing: In late 2005 I started making music on my own and had my first appearance
on Dusty's fantastic 'Jazz & Milk Breaks Vol.1' 12" single release. (make
sure to check out his myspace account too) 'Revolver Theme', the track I produced
together with him, represents my musical roots and is filled with lots of funky
flavour. I am currently working on several projects with different people, incl.
german Hip Hop legend Sagaflex and local producer M-smart, just to name a few.
The latest collboration was 'I Got The Number' by Fresh Mark & Black Hawk
feat. Finlands No.1 funk band, The Soul Investigators. Also don't miss Tramp's
first compilation titled 'This Is My Thing - selected freestyle' by label head
Tobias Kirmayer. Out late June 2007. Radio Show: In march 2006 I started a bi-monthly radio show called SOUL POPCORN. It
takes place every second monday on Munich's independent radio station M94.5.
We focus on Rare Funk, Raw Soul & Latin-Boogaloo. You can listen to it via
live stream here.
Club nights: Along with my Perfect Toy label partner Jerker Kluge (from Hi-Fly Orchestra/The
Boogoos fame) we doing our SHAKE-A-LEG club night at the Glockenbachwerkstatt.
Expect music from all genres, kind of "Old School meets Turntable Jazz".

hope you had a great weekend whatever you were doing
Just got back from Shambala UK, ended up playing four sets over three days and destroyed the place. Totalled up over 8 hours of playing altogether. Only repeated two tunes amongst all of that as far as I can remember, one of them was 'Fallin In Debt' by Derobert & The Half Truths from the Contemporary Funk album. It went down very well indeed (The other song was 'Lil Green Bag' by Audited Beats)
Mixes coming soon from three of the sets (forgot to record the first), check my page to grab them, keep up the great work
