Lucky Brown is the name of an archetype conceived by composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Joel Ricci. Assisted by The Funk Revolution, Ricci's project conjures a funk symbol from the past to bring to life real, authentic, earthy human emotion. The struggle Lucky Brown faces to reconcile life in a brutal, materialistic world with his spiritual potential mirrors mankind's universal experience. Lucky Brown is Ricci's medium to explore and comment on the heart's vacillation between love and fear, while using original raw rhythm and harmony to project a vision of hope for the future.

Joel, I had a dream last night that you were crossing the street in a baggy black and white leisure suit with a suspicious looking brown briefcase and Jackie O glasses. I was unable to get your attention. Look forward to seeing you in August. Is Yogoman returning to PT anytime soon? Hearts and stars. Word.
mere words cannot express the true and deep privilege it was to spin records for such a group of musicians... thank You for the lesson. Oh and Olli wouldn't let me "take care of your 45s" for you... darn that guy!! Don't forget to check out the b-side to that Isreal Tolbert (sp?) 45 and "You Are My Destiny" by Anka...
Lucky! How's the late spring/ early summer treating you? I love this time of year cause people start waking up! I regret to say I worked the Wednesday night you were in town at the SeaMonster... I would've loved to see you in the flesh but I know some of Eldridge Associates were in attendance and attested to the funkiness of your performance. I still hold out hope our paths will cross one 'o these days. I think we got something in the works for July... we'll be in touch. ~ E.W.G.
Damn good times! Two nights in a row is about the only way to do these things. Now that I've been spoiled I will settle for nothing less. Thanks for the fun and the funk.
I enjoyed what I experienced of the show at The Rogue. Words are not enough to express what I felt with the music of Lucky Brown and the Funk Revolution. peacelovejoy Merrilyn
yea! You make dreams come to fruition. You are a goddamn legend man, one day someone will be making a movie about you. Thanks again for your support, trust, and most importantly, friendship. Sharing the stage with you will always be a favorite memory.
