Influences
This band draws influences from a diverse pool of music, from classic rock to jamband, with stops along the jazz, funk, world, pop, and modern rock genres mixed in. It's simply not possible to list all our influences here, so come chat with us at a show and we'll talk......
Sounds Like
Our sound is unique. We're gonna need you to judge this one for yourselves, but if you like well played, organic music that can keep the rockers and the hippies both happy, then you're probably gonna love us!
In the spring of 2007 Len Rosen decided it was time to make a new album. After his years on the road playing with his band "Radio Theory" and Hosting the famous (or infamous?) Monday Night Musicians Jam for four years running (and through two venues), he had a wide variety of extremely talented musicians built up in his little black book, so he called in some favors. Utilizing a cast of very talented musicians, the project quickly evolved from a solo-acoustic project to more of a full-on acoustic/electric band project. As it neared completion, the main players on the album came together and decided that it would be worth everyone's time to turn the studio band into a touring band, and "Len Rosen & the Tribe of Good Fortune" was born.
Using the CSN&Y model for the band, most of our members are in multiple projects in many different musical genres, but we intend to focus our energies on the "tribe", while at the same time letting our members get their musical rocks off in their own projects along the way. When we're not playing as the full band, sometimes we will be playing on a bill with one of their bands, and others will have the various projects playing different rooms on the same night. You might catch Len and Richie playing an acoustic show while Pete and Frank are off playing with Bonobos Convergence, and Dave is Jazzing it up with his band 4true. but.... as we move forward with this project, we will be focusing our energies on making this band a formidable force on the southern music scene, and hope to be doing the majority of our shows together out on the road.
The band has done a few warmup shows around Atlanta while we are getting ready to put out the new album, "Always Tomorrow", which will be released next month. We are currently planning our spring tour and plan to hit the road very soon, doing as many shows as possible and bringing the music to the people.
We will be hitting areas all around the Southeast to start with, and then branching out as far as the music will take us.
This project has been a long time coming, and we intend to stick around for even longer. See ya out there on the road, my friends!

Thanks so much, Christie! If it doesnt get here in time, please let me know at the show and we'll make sure you get a signed one, regardless! Thanks soooo much for the support!
Wow! I am seriously loving your tunes...especially can't float free. Your band website said that you had a cd coming out...please let me know when, because I'd love to feature you on my "Featured artist of the week" site....I'll be keeping an eye out for your concert dates too, as I'm local. I missed the Smith's old bar date, but will come and see you when I can. Much success in your careers, and peace, Christie
Thanks to everyone who's stopped in to say hi! We've added some new shows to the schedule and though we're staying local to get our feet wet the next month or two, we'll be out there on the road really soon... and we hope to spend a little time with all of y'all when we come near your towns!
