Tuesday Night Project

Bio:

Since 1999, Tuesday Night Project (TN Project) has been presenting multi-disciplinary artists in venues focused on new work from the Asian Pacific Islander artists as well as artists from the larger Los Angeles arts community. Originally envisioned as a multi-disciplinary space at a time when the performance scene was genre-centered, TN Project has built its reputation on its flagship series: The 1st & 3rd Tuesday Night Café Series. Hosted spring through fall, it is currently, one of the longest running free public art space and revitalization projects of Little Tokyo/Downtown L.A.

TN Project has also branched out to reach as well as feature artists and spaces around the globe through their live-streaming the TN-TV Live program. TN Radio Podcast creates original segments such as DJ Stories. No matter the venue, TN Project actively seeks new work from the API community and from the local L.A. arts community. TN Project is also proactive in their efforts to seek out new voices – young, women, and queer, just to name a few areas of particular focus.

Through the 1st & 3rd Tuesday Night Cafe, TN Project's collective of artists, educators, community organizers, entrepreneurs, and students continue to create space and time with all walks of life - building bridges between themselves, the project, and people all over, with the firm belief that PEOPLE are each others greatest wealth of resource.

The 1st & 3rd Tuesday Night Café is our flagship series: One of the longest running free public art series in Los Angeles, with performance art, music, poetry, visual art, short film, and an eclectic array of Los Angeles performers and community members in Little Tokyo / Downtown L.A., and partnering spaces through the “1st & 3rd Tuesday Night Café”, runs Spring through Fall.
