Using Three Words have an easily recognisable and unique sound that blends aggressive guitars, a solid low-end and a soaring melodic vocal to produce a 'recording quality performance... that transcends their genre of melodic rock' (Caitlin Croucher, BMA Magazine).
Their debut self-titled EP was recorded in March of 2006 with ARIA award winning producer/engineer Anton Hagop. Following the success of their 2005 demo Bedroom Recordings and taking first place in Canberras Jim Beam Battle of the Bands local Canberra radio station 104.7FM were quick to secure Using Three Words as Made in Canberra Band of the Month giving the band high rotation throughout June 2006 to coincide with the release of their brand new EP.
Using Three Words have supported the likes of After The Fall, Evermore and The Screaming Jets as well as headlining a number of their own shows. The diversity in these supports and within the music found on their debut EP reinforces the fact that this band has a strong future in the Australian music scene. The track If It's All The Same from the new E.P has been nominated in the rock category top 10 for the 2006 MUSIC OZ awards for unsigned artists

Using Three Words Self-titled EP was recorded & mixed by ARIA award winning producer Anton Hagop (Silverchair, Powderfinger, Missy Higgins,Cog) in March of 2006 and mastered by Steve Smart at Studio 301 in May of the same year.
Track 1 'Overload' has recieved airplay on triple J's Home and Hosed radio program and Track 2 'If it's all the same' has been recieving rotation on commercial Australian radio, and been nominated in the rock category top 10 for the 2006 MUSIC OZ awards for unsigned artists
Bedroom Recordings Demo
Using Three Words demo recording 'Bedroom Recordings' was recorded entirely by the band at 'the bedroom on the left studios' and mixed by guitarist Damo Blankley during the winter of 2005. Nigel Johnson (drive time announcer for Canberra Radio Station 104.7) has described the song 'Give Me a Sec' off the demo as 'a perfect Song'.
