The rock/metal band VELINES was formed in 2002, in Vilnius. The first appearance on the stage was the festival of new metal bands „Fresh Blood“ in 2003, and it was a big success for the debut. However, the band was not very active afterwards – only one concert was played with STONE‘S LAMENT in the middle of the summer. In autumn the leading vocalist of the band Edita left for Sweden and VELINES had to replace her by a new member Juste. As a result, the band started a more active period in its biography and played several gigs in Vilnius, Raseiniai and Panevežys. The first promo EP of the band was recorded at the beginning of year 2005.
In August of 2006 the main person, responsible for the music creation – Rimantas – left the band due to family problems. The band has reached the end of the tunnel... But a great discover of a youg soul, Mantas, was a big rush into the future plans. At the moment VELINES are working on their new program – more melodic, more aggressive and progressive.
