Verge of Collapse was formed in 2005 in the black void that was the Rochester, MN metal scene. Crawling from the shadows of the Mother Mayo Clinic, V.O.C. sought to break the conservative limits of their sterile medical community with their brand of no-nonsense, in-your-face music. While influenced by a wide range of heavy artist such as Lamb of God, 40 Below Summer, Megadeth, Despised Icon, Iron Maiden, Chimaira, As I Lay Dying among many others, Verge of Collapse does not belong to any one genre which have limited many other bands. Whether it’s their machine-gun riffing, clean melodies or soaring solos, V.O.C. gives a performance which appeals to a great variety of metal fans.
Since their inception, Verge of Collapse has seen a tremendous growth of the heavy metal scene in their hometown and has enjoyed witnessing many new local bands form and perform wherever and whenever they can for those who have tired of making the multi-hour trips to witness their favorite brand of music.
V.O.C. proudly plays as often as possible for their local fans and with the bands they have watched grow along the way, as well as numerous touring acts, while creating a fan base across the entire region.
