Sounds Like
Heavy progressive/post-rock with frequent improvisation and apocalypse jams. Check out music below and also at http://www.woundedbuffalotheory.net/media.
In an era where music is being endlessly compressed into niche after niche and bands are slaves to their scenes, Wounded Buffalo Theory's compelling musicianship far transcends this narrow trend and gives them a sound that is completely their own. Fearlessly stretching the boundaries of progressive rock by incorporating elements of post rock, heavy metal, jam, dance/electronica and ambient music, this band is beholden to no scene or genre convention. Rather, what drives Wounded Buffalo Theory (Jay Cowit - drums/vocals; Lucas Shine - guitars; Rob Malko - bass/vocals; John Blanton - vocals/keyboards/guitars) is their need to give their fans a unique experience with every live performance, filling each set with solid compositions and imaginative group improvisation played with taste and dramatic flair.
Hailing from Brooklyn , NY, Wounded Buffalo Theory have been expanding their base of awareness prodigiously over the past several months since the arrival of guitarist Lucas Shine and the return of founding member John Blanton. Recently the band has been performing dozens of shows to hundreds of people across the Northeast; has hosted the highly-regarded D.I.Y. music festival Cabinfest; released a five-song EP, "El Brome"; and recorded a full-length album, "It's Alright Is Not All Right", at Brooklyn's Hard Luck Studios.
The band believes that this new record, the most thorough representation of their renowned live sound to date, will be the tool they need to make ever-deeper inroads into the Darwinian New York rock scene. Even the most rigid listener will find their ear pleasantly bent by the progressive rock jams Wounded Buffalo Theory has to offer, and the band intends to use that talent to lay claim to the ears and minds of every forward-thinking music fan out there.
The band consistently updates www.woundedbuffalotheory.net with new downloads, pictures, set lists, and other info.

Thanks Wounded Buffalo Theory for standing for the truth, free speech, common sense, and our U.S. Constitution. It is the right thing to do and the only way to honor our troops, our nation, and ourselves. ---
