Arthur was a carefree soul.he enjoyed his nondescript life and liked nothing better than to unwind at the driving range after a tough day at the saw-mill.
he had an evergrowing network of friends; some intimate and others not so.
they all agreed arthur was an engaging man with impeccable taste in bathroom fittings. he met these friends at barbeques, agricultural expositions and funerals and chat went down. a dew of emptiness fell silently on arthur in the wake of these meetings; for the life of him, he did not know why!
one night arthur brushed his teeth and went to bed and onward to sleep.when he slept, he dreamt deeply. a man,clad in silk robes and smelling of dandelion, visited him in his sleep. he called arthur by name and said this- "you must free yourself of these friends, they are not real and clog the rivulets of your soul with old tea leaves". arthur woke with a start.
he walked out into the street in his slippers and nightwear and thought about what the man had said......
