Whetstone Public House, Waitsburg's newest food and drink establishment, features hand-tossed pizzas and calzones as well as burgers, sandwiches and salads. Its full-service bar features a large variety of foreign and domestic beers.

The pub is ..Cougar..-owned and operated, making it a great place to be on game day.

Come see nationally-acclaimed singer and songwriter Stephen Ashbrook give a solo acoustic performance Aug. 16 at the Whetstone.

The performance is set to begin at 9 p.m. Admission is $5.

Ashbrook, a Portland, Ore., resident, was named the Phoenix Tribune's Best Acoustic Performer in 1998 and 2000. In the summer of 2000, he delivered a command performance for President Bill Clinton at the request of the White House. Ashbrook is touring to promote his latest album “White Balloons,” released in spring.

Coyote Kings

Visit The Whetstone May 17 during when three talented Blues and Bluesrock artists known as Coyote Kings will be turned loose on stage for three hours.

Core members Robin Barrett, Curtis “Rocket” Johnson, and “Mondo Mike” Cook have more than 80 years combined experience recording and performing for regional, national and international audiences. Each is a respected artist in his own right, with Barrett well-known Worldwide via the Internet for his chart-topping Bluesrock, Johnson a respected drummer in the international Blues community, and Cook, the recognized premier “mondo” guitarist of the Northwest.
