Historic, yet hip and cutting edge, Chicago’s Wicker Park and Bucktown district offers a variety of lifestyle options... distinctive art, acclaimed restaurants and a trendy musical scene to name just a few. A reflection of the eclectic neighborhood is the annual Wicker Park Fest, showcasing the extraordinary area for a sixth year on Saturday, July 25th, 2009 through Sunday, July 26th, 2009.
Appealing to those who appreciate diverse surroundings combined with turn-of-the century character, Wicker Park and Bucktown are best known for their rich musical heritage and arts, playing host to the annual Around the Coyote Art Festival, the nationally acclaimed Collaboraction Sketchbook theatre festival and Wicker Park Fest.
Highlighted by the rousing alternative-indie music that takes place continuously on two stages, Wicker Park Fest weekend also promises great food from neighborhood restaurants as well as unique arts & crafts from local exhibitors.
Easily accessible by The Blue Line and just minutes from downtown Chicago, Wicker Park Fest is a diverse and dynamic event for anyone looking for a true Chicago neighborhood-fair experience.
Wicker Park Fest has moved locations this year and is now being held on N. Milwaukee Ave. between W. North Ave. and N. Wood St. Event hours are noon-10:00 p.m. both days and the gate donation is $5. Proceeds benefit the Wicker Park & Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. For more info, go to www.wickerparkbucktown.com or call the Chamber at (773) 384-2672.

a HUGE thank you to all who contributed to making Wicker Park Fest possible this year, and it's previous years. Hands down, this year was the best, but I just keep repeating myself for the past few years. It's only getting better. Great representation of this city. Keep on.
The line-up this year is incredible. If you're at the Double Door party and get hungry, head down to the Un-official Afterparty at Jerry's on Division with Sadie Woods (whitelabel) spinning, live painting by Chadwick, 150 microbrews and late menu til 2am!
Check out Van Ghost, Maps & Atlases, The 1900's, Sybris and more on ASCAP's ROCKET POP local music compilation! Pick up your copy for FREE this weekend at Wicker Park Fest!
