WHO THE HELL AM I?
Hi, I'm Mike. I've been playing music for over half of my life and it's something that I love dearly. This is the Myspace for my solo music that goes by the moniker Arthur Killroad (and it is solely a moniker). I've been playing in Athens, OH for about five years now and I've released an album and an EP that are both available for download below. I started Arthur Killroad as a "political folk punk sort of a deal" and it's now evolved into a "personal therapy sort of thing." I'm sure it will evolve into another specific definition involving quotation marks sooner or later. Until then, I hope you enjoy my music and feel free to friend/download/comment etc. Thanks.

Though the truth is that just like our bipolar moments of mania and displeasure, we are sometimes caught in an unflattering light. Rather than tactically avoid looking contrived, Killroad seeks to make the telling of mundane moments his anchor. He criticizes the motifs and worn tropes of classic romanticism instead favoring the tactile objects of relationships—gifts, guitars, and shaving blades—trinkets of those quick moments between the archetypical peaks and valleys, unions and break ups. Known as Mike Petruccelli to his mother, Arthur Killroad is extraordinarily adept addressing these experiences. -Fredrick Foxtrott
"Well, it's great, I like it and it's good to see that the best music is still played under the radar of mainstream music." -Sven Hardner, Germany
"...the way Killroad describes the early twenties mentality is dead on, in terms of relationships, family, and college life." - Kelly Kettering, The Post
"The demos on the new EP has left me awestruck in amazingness." -Jarrod Denson
"I woke up this morning and had Harvard on the Hocking stuck in my head, it was a good day indeed." - Lauren Salandra
"AK is the coffee to my cup. The music gets me going in the morning, and any other time I need to get going." - Heather Jamison
Hello. My Name Is Alyosha Het. I Think You're Fantastic & Would Like To Shake Your Intangible Hand. I Think The Intangible Quasi-Hug Would Be A Bit Forward Of Me At This Juncture.
