About Persephone

Persephone is a collaboration by vocalist Mimi Goese (Moby, Hugo Largo), mutantrumpeter Ben Neill, and theater company Ridge Theater. Ambient electronic textures sampled from 19th century classical music are combined with Mimi’s hauntingly beautiful voice and the futuristic sounds of Neill’s self-designed mutantrumpet. Drummer Jim Mussen and Rickenbacker bassist John Conte add deep live grooves to the mix. Additional classical performers will also be included. This piece will be premiered in 2010.
