Well, we were in Alexandria, right? and we see this woman pull out of traffic to the left shoulder, and her car is smoking from the front. We pull off on the right, and watch traffic go by and her car just smoking. Her baby is in the back seat, and she grabs her, stands back away from the car and calls for some help on her cellphone. THE CAR TURNS INTO A TOWERING INFERNO. These roofing guys pull off on the same side as her and help her get some of her stuff out of the trunk, like the baby's bag, some laundry, you know.
Meanwhile our bus driver gets out of the bus and is running across the interstate in front of 18-wheelers to get over to the other side to make sure everything is alright. He talks to the guys. They try to laugh it off, and she gets in their utility truck with them. And they drive off. The car is almost unrecognizable at this point. The bus driver gets back in the bus, starts it up, and everything was great from then on.
I've just never seen a car on fire before. It was both terrifying and beautiful. :-)
