It took me a long long time before I realized that without any peculiar skills at playing any instrument I could actually do sth w/about SOUNDS. It took me maybe even longer to actually allow mysef to do so. Since then, I've been more or less loosely involved in some more or less ephemeral & obscure Paris (France) based outfits since the late 90s, before finally (???) landing in the psych-noise "power" trio Lubriphikatttor.
ZWZ is my solo project, a one-man-"band" of sorts (feat. occasional contributions from some kindred spirits) trying to focus on quieter aspects of what I also might do/having been doing as a part of those various more noise or jam orientated "bands" (drk, abacabb, Super Mort... etc): disruptive, more or less "haunted" & rather lo-fi "soundscapes", spooky and murky, made of blurry cut-ups, collages, tape manipulations, gtr schreech & schronk, various junktronix... So it's supposed to be calmer and more introspective I guess that what I usually do otherwise w/other people but nonetheless, sometimes a man can't help it & some blasts & bursts of sheer raw noise may also occur while I am supposed to dig deeper into textures. It's oh so disquiet.
So far, I've been more concentrating on live/ephemeral aspects of my seldom solo performances & v few recordings are available but this might someday change. Watch out.
