Influenced and deeply impressed by the unknow derwish who played the Reedflute and whom I met when I was a child, my father, Rumi, Baba Taher, Hafez, Saadi, Omar Khayyam, Verdusi, Attar.., Pir Inayat Khan, Pir Vilayat Khan, Iranshar and many other Sufis.

Hosein and Parviz Ya Haqui (violon), Yehudi Menuhin, Ustad Shariff and Shahnaz, Ustad Sultan Khan (indian Sarangi), Hari Prassat Charassia (Bansuri flute), Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini,....and many others.
Music, poems, knowledge were recorded through the times by my soul. This gift is like a flowing treasure from which I get my inspirations always fresh without any effort, without any "doing". My research is the state of presence and happiness through sound, melody and rhythm, which can also be discovered in meditation.
The group AHURA was founded by Mohammad Eghbal in 1989. AHURA’s music is sufi music, inspired by poems of Persian poets and mystics, above all by Mevlana Djellalledin RUMI, whose spiritual message for understanding among the nations AHURA tries to convey by means of traditional oriental sound structures as well as by including new sound elements.
It’s Mohammad’s aim to employ music as a universal means of communication in order to unite cultures and people beyond all ethnic contrasts and differences. For him music and sounds are an intuitive way to hint at the unity and essence of all things, but without developing a dogma or doctrine.
