CD Experts are once again handling my CD duplication, having done such a terrific job on both Sybil and Here We Are. Got a CD that needs duplication? Check them out.
Black and Blue has earned me two Portfolio Weekly Music Award nominations: Best Pop/Rock and Album of the Year.
Sam McDonald from the Daily Press describes the music on Black and Blue as "snarling hard rock right along with delicate, moody acoustic songs."
The AJB is my band that plays a high energy, hard rocking mix of originals and modern & classic rock covers with a twist.
Solo, I play acoustic guitar and assemble a set based on the audience and venue. Songs cover a wide range of genres including alternative & classic rock, folk, jazz, blues, pop, and originals.
With the Annie Johnson Band and as a member of Licious, My Sister, and Undertow, I've played all over southeastern Virginia and the Outer Banks in North Carolina including the Norva in Norfolk, VA; 24th St. Stage, VA Beach; Mill Point Park, Hampton, VA; Town Point Park, Norfolk; Mariners Park in Newport News for Harvest Faire. We've performed live several times on 93.7 The Coast, BOB FM Norfolk, and Paul Shugrue's Out of the Box on 89.5 FM WHRV.
As a solo artist I've performed acoustic shows in coffeeshops all over southeastern Virginia and art galleries such as the Peninsula Fine Arts Center in Newport News.
I began working with Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO) in 2005. The mission of TAO is to bring live music and arts performances and programs to people who are isolated from society.
I've released four CDs. The first CD, Letters From L.A., was co-produced & engineered by Stacy Heydon, who has toured as the lead guitarist for David Bowie and Iggy Pop. The 2nd CD, Sybil, features two of the AJB's most requested songs: Into the Pain and Skinny Girl. The third CD is Here We Here, co-produced and engineered by
Skip DeRupa, who has worked with major labels at Windmark in Virginia Beach.
