As of late these three bands have been influencing my writing and overall though process of what great music should sound like.... Karmella's Game, AVEC and Park. -- Marc of AC!
We started in January of 2004. First we were a five piece which was the only time we were ever really a "band." After the short-lived life as a rock band, we ended up as a four-piece without a proper drummer... Hence the drum machine. After the four-piece thing, we ended up as a three-piece without a bassist. Not too long after that, we ended up as a duo, hence the end of the guy-girl vocal thing. The running joke is that some day the band will be all parts electronic and no parts human.
Okay. So the running joke is over, and so is our extended break. Matt Fouse (Mission Cricket Invasion) is playing drums with us now. Him and Marc had a death match. Obviously, Matt destroyed him.
Currently, we are busy relearning songs that we haven't played in over a year and a half. Hopefully, we'll see you soon.
Set amid a French village, Griffon carries riders up 205 feet, then hurtles them 90 degrees straight down at 70 mph. And that’s just the beginning. Griffon evokes the power and speed of a mythical bird that is part eagle and part lion. It plunges, twists and turns – giving riders an adrenaline-pumping adventure that’s unlike any coaster experience in the world.
We're not sure exactly how many shrieks and screams she's witnessed over the years. But we can tell you that Nessie's coaster trains have traveled a distance equal to 150 trips around the world. That's like traveling from the Earth to the moon—and all the way back again! Hurtling passengers through the air, whizzing over the Rhine River, and descending through a dark cave, our infamous Scottish serpent is every bit as thrilling as you remember. The Loch Ness Monster reaches speeds of up to 60 miles an hour, guaranteeing you a wonderfully wild ride.
Experience the world's tallest, most twisted inverted roller coaster. Alpengeist reaches a height of 195 feet and a speed of 67 mph. Alpine "skiers" are launched on the most chilling ride of their lives as this snowbeast twists an innocent ski lift into six staggering inversions and a 170-foot drop.
Ancient myth meets modern-day technology aboard Apollo's Chariot. Apollo's Chariot is Busch Gardens Williamsburg's thrilling hypercoaster designed to reach great height and super speeds. The pulse-quickening journey plummets passengers a total of 825 feet. 73 MPH.
This suspended roller coaster flies through a recreated Bavarian village at speeds approaching 50 mph. The "Wolf" rambles through natural terrain and dense forest, suddenly dropping a sheer 99 feet to nearly skim the Rhine River below. The spirit of the wolf is present at every turn, from the distant howls at the boarding station to the authentically-detailed buildings.
POOPSIE USED TO WORK ON THE DOCKS. CIGARETTE UNION'S BEEN ON STRIKE, HE'S DOWN ON HIS LUCK, IT'S TOUGH. (WHEEEEEEEEEELLLLL-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH) OOOH, SO TOUGH. (WAHT AN WAHT AN WAHTAN. WAHT AN WAHT AN WAHTAN.) SUSIE, WE GOTTA HOLD ON, TO THE CIGARETTES WE GOT. IT ALWAYS MAKES A DIFFERENCE IF THEY MAKE THEM OR NOT. WE GOT EACHOTHER, NOW GO MAKE ME SOME LUNCH. IT'S PEPSI AND SCOTCH. WHOOOOOAAAAA WE'RE HALFWAY THERE, WHOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I SLEEP ON THE COUCH IN MY UNDERWEAR! TAKE MY CUP, FILL IT UP OR I'LL SWEAR! WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA SLEEPIN' IN MY UNDERWEAR! SLEEPIN. IN. MY. UNDERWEAR!
Sometimes I wonder How I'd ever make it through, Through this world without having you I just wouldn't have a clue
'Cause sometimes it seems Like this world's closing in on me, And there's no way of breaking free And then I see you reach for me
Sometimes I wanna give up I wanna give in, I wanna quit the fight And then I see you, baby And everything's alright, everything's alright
CHORUS: When I see you smile I can face the world, oh oh, you know I can do anything When I see you smile I see a ray of light, oh oh, I see it shining right through the rain When I see you smile Oh yeah, baby when I see you smile at me
Baby there's nothing in this world that could ever do What a touch of your hand can do It's like nothing that I ever knew
And when the rain is falling I don't feel it, 'cause you're here with me now And one look at you baby Is all I'll ever need, you're all I'll ever need
CHORUS
Sometimes I wanna give up I wanna give in, I wanna quit the fight And then I see you baby And everything's alright, everything's alright
