Formed in 2001, the core duo of brothers Matthew and Nathan Dick released their debut self titled demo to positive reviews in the underground metal press. Backed by a drum machine, the two piece carved out oppressive slabs of sludge doom in the vein of British greats such as Electric Wizard, Iron Monkey and Godflesh..... Driven to progress their sound and branch out beyond the conventional doom/sludge template, Analysis of Bison Kills recruited Dutch drummer Andries v.d. Boom. With this new line up intact AOBK recorded their second demo “The Sea Stranded Whipjack” delivering everything from cerebral busy riffing to slow motion doom dirges tinged with electronic experimentation. This second release met with glowing reviews..... AOBK were soon signed to ..Sound Devastation Records.. and work began on ‘Vantage’, a four song 30 minute mini album. Again, the band’s line up expanded, adding Scott Tyrell on bass guitar. .... On ‘Vantage’ AOBK continue to set themselves apart from their peers, straying far enough from current trends to deliver fresh sounding multifaceted heavy music.     We are going to Edinburgh next week to record an audition for the Sky 1 TV show 'Must Be Music' The show will be recorded on Friday 2 July, the judges are Dizzee Rascal, Sharleen Spiteri from Texas and and Jamie Cullum, the show will be hosted by Fearne Cotton.

    This does mean that sadly we’re going to have to pull out of the Basement Bar gig in York with Suzy Bradley and her band The Morning After and The Hall Bros, We still think you should go check these guys out because their fantastic and your guaranteed a good night out.

    We’ve a couple of gigs coming up in Leeds and York that we hope you can make.

    First we’re playing at the New Roscoe in Leeds on the 27 June, there are 4 bands on and its only £3 on the door the fun starts at 8pm.

    Secondly we’re playing a short acoustic set at the Basement Bar in York on the 2nd July with the Brilliant Suzy Bradley and Morning After and the equally amazing Hall Brothers - not to be missed.
